Read More Book NowCherry Berry Lodge has been certified as an Essential Services business during the lockdown period.
We can offer self-isolation rooms for our guests travelling to and working in George and the Southern Cape.
For our guests and staff safety, we have limited our rooms available at the Lodge to provide a more pleasant and safer experience and to allow guests to stay in “complete isolation”.
Our priority is also to safeguard our guests, cleaning teams and ourselves. All rooms will be disinfected and not be booked out for a minimum 24 hour period between guests occupation.
The usual hands-on Guesthouse experience will then also be a little different and operate under strict caution:
1. There will be limited or no guest contact at all. Our priority is also to safeguard ourselves and any cleaning teams entering upon the departure of the guests.
2. Upon arrival Guests will be able to book/check themselves in. Keys will be left in a secure collection box at the Lodge (entry code provided to the guest via cellphone WhatsApp on arrival).
3. There will be no daily cleaning or turn down services. Cleaning kits will be provided.
4. Guests are expected to wash their own cutlery, cups and glassware.
5. Guests will have the option to arrange that the rooms be stocked with “home pantry necessities”.
6. For the B&B option, our dining room remains closed. Daily breakfast-packs will be delivered every morning (delivery times communicated via cellphone/Whatsapp). The delivery procedure will be us knocking on the bedroom door and then leaving the pack in front of the door.
7. Guest requested to discard the used packs into the dustbins in the rooms and or the outside refuse bins. Additional bins to be provided in each room.
8. Hand and surface sanitisers will be provided in the rooms and other areas, but remain the property of the guesthouse and are not to be removed.
9. All cleaning staff have been instructed and educated to take the necessary precautions to minimise any risk of infection.
10. A high standard of cleaning is in place, pre and post-cleaning operations include; all areas are disinfected, and all precautions are taken.
11. The checkout inspection will be deferred by 24 hours after checkout,
12. On arrival guests are to complete and sign the Guesthouse check-in and indemnity forms and send a photograph via Whatsapp of the completed form to the establishment, The originals are to be left in the room at checkout.
